Topic: Help ADC to CAN

Hello,

I have an 7.2duo V1.03

Trying to use this device as an expansion I/0 to an ECU over CAN,

I've been trying to measure voltage and TX information 0x0101 on 11bit @500k

at voltage >3.5V i get  RX    0x101    1    0x66
at voltage <3.5V i get  RX    0x101    1    0x00

questions:
1 - I don't have a jumper on my PCB, do i need to do any modifications?
2 - How do i configure the ADC I have tried every way i can think of and cant seem to get it to work?

The CANNY 7.2 Duo have several Solder Bridge Jumpers ( https://resources.altium.com/p/solder-b … dge-jumper ) at the bottom side of PCB: https://cannylogic.com/docs/c72duo/#sec … he-jumpers

So you need some soldering if you wish to connect the ADC input to Channel 8 or route ADC input outside from unused connector's pin using additional wire.

How do i configure the ADC I have tried every way i can think of and cant seem to get it to work?

Thank you!

seems i was getting caught up on the voltage regulator, shorted CH8 to ADC

now to get some dallas temp sensors and see this canny shine smile

side note:
does the firmware support max31885?

It's good to know that you've made progress.

The CANNY 7.2 Duo does not have the firmware support for max31885. But it looks like it's possible to Bit-banging it from a user diagram. However,  you will need to match the signal levels of 12/24 volts controller with 3 volts chip.
