Topic: update scanning delay for monitoring

Hi, Every body.

i noticed when i used the ccm monitoring utility, that when there is more than 5 IDs scrolling, the update of datas are too slow, as a result we can miss some events, we can per example miss a brief button or a switch activation!

In another hand when i select only one or two IDs, the updates are instantaneous.

Please can you explain the reasons of this lags. is there a way to increase the scanning frequency of the can bus, to update quickly the datas?

The CANNY PLC is not a specialized tool for monitoring the CAN on a PC. We know, CANNY 7 is not perfect in this and ccm too, but its capacity is sufficient for most purposes. When routing high density CAN traffic to PC, data loss is possible. You will see the flag "OVF" in the ccm's status bar if this happens. Unfortunately there is no quick solution. This will be fixed in the next version of the device.
