Topic: Can Monitor Problem

Hello,
I have a Skoda Octavia 5E. I want to monitor the CAN bus. But the only thing I can see is the attached picture. I cannot see any data (only one). What is the problem here?
Thanks for any tips

Re: Can Monitor Problem

Please try to fully disconnect CANNY 7 from all wires and USB then reconnect it to power (+12V & GND) and CAN first, then to USB.

Re: Can Monitor Problem

Hello Konstantin,
thank you for your hint. I tried now 3 different things but all failed.

1. fully disconnect C7 from all wires then connect first CAN then USB -> same picture as already posted.
2. then i downloaded Version 1.34 and extracted all. I called c7canmon_v170.exe with c7v001070.cxx. then I called ccm.exe --> same picture as already posted.
3. then i tried to rename c7v001070vag.cxx into c7v001070.cxx and called c7canmon_v170.exe to upload new firmware. Then I called ccm.exe --> but still same picture as already posted.

Has anybody an idea whats wrong here?
best regards

Re: Can Monitor Problem

The c7canmon_v170.exe is stand-alone application.
Where did you connect to CAN in your car exactly?
Please try to reconnect at driver door socket as on picture below:

Re: Can Monitor Problem

There is no official connectors for CANNY in your car instead dealership equipment, sorry.
If you need to get access to maximum set of data in your onboard CAN, you need to connect CANNY exactly where I told you before.
