Topic: +5v through hole

On the bottom of the Canny 7.2 duo PCB there is a through hole marked +5v.  Is there a purpose for this?

I'm wondering if I could use it to go to a DIP switch, which would then go to the I/O channels.  The goal being to control if various functions are on or off with DIP switch.

Re: +5v through hole

This is an unprotected output of the onboard +5V power supply. If you know exactly what you are doing and you are ready to act at your own peril and risk, then about 100 mA can be received from this terminal to power external devices.
